The FIM Enel MotoE™ World Cup is an all-electric competition racing alongside MotoGP™ at six Grands Prix, taking on Jerez, Le Mans, Mugello, Assen, Austria and Misano. 18 riders racing for 12 teams battle it out over six rounds, with two races a weekend and some of the closest competition on the planet. Everyone races on identical, electric Energica Ego Corsa machines.
Enel X Way is the Official Smart Charging Partner of the FIM Enel MotoE™ World Cup and provides the JuiceRoll Race Edition, the new charging infrastructure specifically designed and developed for MotoE™ as the sport continues to drive innovation – including solar power and mobile charging capability.
Michelin, as the official tyre supplier, is a vital partner to MotoE™ too – using more and more sustainable materials in both the front and rear tyres. A new goal has been reached in 2022: 46% sustainable material in all MotoE™ rears, which is a landmark on the way to revolutionising the world’s tyres.
Next, this technology will reach the world’s ultimate two-wheeled testing ground, MotoGP™, and then its ultimate destination: millions of consumers across the globe. As the pinnacle of the two-wheeled world, MotoGP™ pushes to create positive change in the motorcycle industry and where viable, electric mobility has the power to significantly cut emissions and make a key contribution to global sustainability goals.
MotoE™ is a parallel path of close competition and offers a unique opportunity for innovation in the electric mobility sector, taking progress from the track to the street.
